Restarting Project Par series as I'm taking on the the game of golf. I went in blindly the last month just playing 18 or 9 holes with no direction on rules of the game, etiquette, proper form, club selection, and overall experience. Let the journey begin!
A little late to the game but my Project Par is running a half marathon under 1:40:00 minutes. That puts me at a 7:38/mi pace. My failure and lesson so far is that I haven’t put a detailed and written plan to execute this goal. I’ve just ran and “ate clean” since New Year’s Day. Since reading the first article of Project Par and this article, I think the real challenge is writing the plan and executing it. The physical will take care of itself. For me, the key take away is to fail forward , not backwards. Kudos, Matt!
Yes sir that’s what I’m talking about Pablo!! Don’t rely on your “will” and “determination” to get it done. Make a plan and stick to it. Like you said, the physical side will work itself out with the right plan in place!
Another great read, you’re going to get there with this level of commitment and focus! Going to suggest the birdieball putting mat again, after trying the perfect putt mat and finding the guidelines and the uphill finish to be unrealistic practice-to-course variables. It’s more money, but has been totally worth every penny for me.
